Retail Merchants Association of Lynchburg (RMA) names Laurie Gulluscio as the new Director of Marketing and Membership. Gulluscio brings over 15 years of sales and marketing experience to the RMA. In her new role, Gulluscio will be educating the community on the variety of services and benefits the RMA offers to local merchants. She will also be heading up a marketing plan of educational programs and co-op advertising opportunities for members and potential members for the 2010 calendar year.

Gulluscio has lived in the Lynchburg community since 1987. Most recently she was a Sales Manager for the Kirkley Hotel & Conference Center, and formerly served as the Director of Sales for the Comfort Inn.  She is also actively involved in the local Chamber, local tourism and its attractions, and in several non-profits, such as the Salvation Army.

Mark W. Maslow, President of Southern Landscape Group, Inc. has been elected Vice-President of the Board of Directors for the Virginia Nursery and Landscape Association (VNLA). The VNLA is a 78 year-old statewide trade organization serving landscape contractors, nursery growers, and garden centers. Maslow had served as the Public Relations Chairman for the past three years and as Secretary/Treasurer for the past year. E. Thomas Hammock, Jr., P.E. joined the firm’s Civil Engineering Department as a Senior Engineer. Hammock will be the lead engineer on land development and utility system design projects. He received a B.S. degree in Civil Engineering Technology from Old Dominion University and is a Registered Professional Engineer in Virginia.

Ashley B. Fisher, P.E., LEED AP was promoted to Civil Engineer in the firm’s Civil Engineering Department. Fisher focuses on land development and utility design, including site layout, grading, roadways, storm water management, erosion and sediment control, water distribution systems, and sanitary sewer systems.  She received a B.S. degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Virginia, is a Registered Professional Engineer in Virginia, and is accredited in the Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) program.

Godfrey Myaing, AIA, LEED GA successfully completed the requirements to earn a LEED GA (Green Associate) certification.  Godfrey is a Project Architect in the firm’s Architectural Department.  He focuses on building designs for Local Government and Federal Government clients. Godfrey received an A.A. in Construction Technology from Prince George’s Community College, a B.S. in Architecture Studies from Andrews University and a Bachelor of Architecture degree (NAAB) from Andrews University, and is licensed as an Architect in Virginia and Ohio.
