Lynchburg Physician Inducted as a Fellow in the American College of Radiology

Richard L. Newton, MD, FACR, of Lynchburg , VA, has been inducted as a Fellow in the American College of Radiology (ACR). The induction took place at a formal convocation ceremony during the recent 87th ACR Annual Meeting and Chapter Leadership conference May 15-19, 2010, in Washington DC.
Dr. Newton is a Partner at Radiology Consultants of Lynchburg and a Physician and Family Practice Residency Proctor for Centra Health, both in Lynchburg, VA. He is also an Oral Board Examiner for the American Board of Radiology. Dr. Newton is a member of the ACR, the Lynchburg Academy of Medicine, the Medical Society of Virginia and is a CME Committee Member in the Virginia State Radiological Society. Dr. Newton earned his medical degree from the University of Mississippi Medical Center in 1984.
