Hurt & Proffitt is pleased to announce that Shannon Cotulla, PE, has been promoted into the Department Head position for the Geotechnical and Material Testing Department. Cotulla graduated from North Carolina State University in 1998 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering. He has been with Hurt & Proffitt for nearly five years. His first three years were in the Civil Department before leaving to join VDOT. Since his return, he has done a number of municipal and dam related projects that have expanded his knowledge and expertise. In addition to filling this new role, Cotulla will also continue to provide engineering services to clients through the Civil Department.
