- Outpatient Nutrition Counseling

The Stroobants heart center offers a 12-week program that teaches the skills necessary to live and maintain a health body weight in today’s “toxic” environment of high-fat, high-calorie foods and numerous labor-saving devices. For information, call (434) 237-8163 or (434) 200-2237. - Shapedown
The leading weight management program for children and teens. The Stroobants heart center offers this 10-week, family-based program that targets nutrition and activity in both overweight children and their parents. For information, call (434) 237-8163 or (434) 239-9355. - Healthy Steps
Centra, in conjunction with area YMCAs, offers personalized, structured exercise programs and health education. A centra registered nurse and/or exercise physiologist works closely with each client throughout the program. The average length of the program is three months.
